Hi Folks,

Went out for a swing for a couple of hours with the SDC. Been getting into the habit of using the phone to film a bit of the action. It really does show how overgrown some of the country is down here on the south coast. Only two bits of rubbish (not filmed) and a few small bits of gold. Although its been dry, the days have been superb for detecting.

Cheers

Hi Ward69

Sensitivity on 5 and threshold on 3. Both areas were pretty mild in relation to mineralisation and emi.

Thanks Les, are you using earphones, I have mind on 5 and threshold on 5 with earphones. Very very slowly over the ground in different directions Say. 20sq feet would take me 1hr. Picking up only the slightest chance. Then slowly take off a 1cm at a time until the sound is more clear. Bang. Tiny little sub gram nuggetlets. The only problem I have is my under a flight path. Ever time a planes goes over, the SDC plays up. Ward69

Hi Ward69.

I had headphones on yesterday in the gully. If it is a still day or if Im moving sticks and leaf litter etc and the ground is quiet, I dont bother. There are obvious advantages of headphones but they can be a pain at times.

Hi All

Went for a swing on Saturday around Creswick with the SDC and found a few tiddlers and a speci.

Hard to find the targets in the scoop as the dirt was more like mud with all the rain we had and the mud just sticks to the scoop.

It was a warm sunny day and a little colour, thats a good day.

Hi Folks,

Took the SDC for a walk up an overgrown gully this afternoon. Filmed a couple of targets for mixed results. Just a little taster for you folks who cant get out mid week. Enjoy.

Cheers

No, more specific location is what he meant, name of the tree and the colour of the flowers growing next to it.
