Nothing to do with personal bests, this is just this year's finds so far. The total weight is 7 grams. The pile in the middle is fine gold from crushed specimens and the inner ring of bigger bits are also from specimens. The weight of the pile and inner ring is 3.5 grams. The remarkable thing is that these finds were made with a Eureka Gold. The outer ring of small bits were found with the SDC. I upgraded to the SDC in October 2017 but I have recently found that there is definitely a use for the Eureka Gold. I will tell the whole story somewhere else on the forum when I have the time; most likely in the minelab section.

Cheers Bob.

G'day all.

Found on February 27th with the GPZ and 14" coil. It wouldn't have mattered, it was only about 25mm in the ground.

Regards Axtyr.

A beautiful chunk of gold there Axter but it's a bit difficult to work out the weight in the scales? It looks like 32oz but the scales have a 100g capacity with two decimal places.

Moneybox, the units are set to OZT, troy ounces. It's definitely not 3,225 ounces, I wish, that would break the scales.

Hi Folks,

Like most of you I have been stuck at home looking for things to do to keep active. Got to the stage of even looking through photos and video footage to remind me of what gold looks like lol. Had a look at some clips that I took before this covid thingy became an issue. A mate rang me and said that he had a good signal on his 7000 from a large rock. Started to chip away at it with his pick but made little progress. We went back with some gear to try to break it open. Decided to chip away at it away from the signal and check each piece as we broke it off. Didnt want to damage what was inside. Anyway here it is.
