We found this BSA Sprocket while we were out looking at old mineshafts today. From the research that I have done so far it looks to be a BSA 24 Skiptooth Sprocket of about 1940/50's vintage.

24 3 Patent 13696/99

Couldn't find the rest of the bike, could be down a shaft anywhere out here in the middle of WA.

Cheers

Love the BSA sprocket - make a great man cave wall piece!

Absolutely stoked today!!!!

Managed to get a great nugget, was really deep (20cm) and just a faint noise. Slowed down a bit and seemed to pay off. When was digging it out had a horrible feeling it would be a rusty nail as I seem to get a lot of them and this sounded the same.
It weighed 2.9 gram and the little one was .1
3 grams in a day

Nice piece of gold Krugerrand. I would be stoked to find that too. Even a couple of pieces that you found Nothing Great would make me happy.

Greetings Walshie1000. Is your working dog the digger with a nice bone as an incentive to dig? :D And of course he dug up all the specimens in front of him. :playful:
A beautiful looking dog btw. Looks like he has a nice temperament but also a good bodyguard and companion. :Y:

Happy Prospecting :D

Hey Nothing Great, can you do us a favour. Id like to come to Victoria and detect a bit next autumn. Never swung a detector there in anger yet. If you keep going as you have been, it wont be called the golden triangle any more, itll be called the dirt triangle. Crikey mate, leave a few bits for the mere mortals. Well done. You have that 5 tuned in nicely to your ears.

Cheers

Les
