    Found this today with the Nokta simplex. Can't seem to find any 1831 shillings with the queen to compare it to for valuation. Any ideas? Not that I'll be selling. The kids will get this coin one day.

    First target yesterday with my mates 3030 at a local park. 1902 coronation medallion. After I give it a bit more of a clean I will give the medallion to him. I could tell he liked it.

    Thanks Wally its having a bath as we speak. I will post more pics of the final result. I am not sure on the dollar value Scrounger but I am also interested even though it will stay in the cupboard for one of the kids. Cheers

    Thanks Wally I gave it a gentle scrub with a soft brush and water but it didn't clean up well.

    Castlemaine History

    Goldie You were correct with your spelling of Augusto Domenico Coloretti. He grew up in a place called Flowerdale, was only 1 of a few Italians that were rats of tobruk and came to Aus late 1800's possibly early 1900's. No more info on a mine though.
