Wondering who uses an Ultrasonic Cleaner for their nugs?
What brand do you use/recommend that gives good results?

I use it on our rings and jewellery and it comes up fine after 15 mins.

Ever used it on small nugs Jaros?

Aldi have them as a special from time to time and Jaycar too.
I've never used one.

I have one from Jaycar, It pulls the dirt out of pores gold, that's about it, if the gold is clean it wont make it any more shiny.
When first turned on you can see the dirt explode out of the nugget, good to watch.

I’m also interested in this thread, never used ultra sonic cleaners before, might give one a go!
They’re great for prickly nuggets... gets all nooks and crannies clean as.
not so good for crusty, oxidised coins.
GPX5000..2Evo’s...Whites SPP...Makro Multi Kruzer... ProFind pointer.
We have two, an aldi and a jacar. Both work fine and i couldn't seperate them performance wise. Don't expect miracles. They clean the dirt and crap out great but won't move ironstone or quarts.

I have a commercial one used often used in Dental sugary's. Great on a Dirty ring and or a Dirty nugget, but never going to remove stains and or baked on material.
Good cleaning solutions and great for cleaning dust / dirt and Oils but that is about all.
And do not put 2 or more items in together; they just rub each other.
Best find - The Wife # Equipment - X-Pointer x 4, Nokta Fors Gold Plus, Excalibur II, CTX3030 and a Minore III with custom wood - and lots of other stuff
I use a retired one from work (a dental ultrasonic bath and plain water with a tiny amount of detergent). Works brilliantly to remove debris from nooks and crannies. Takes about 15mins.
Leaves it looking 'natural' rather than having that over-cleaned look which I don't like.

Subaru Outback, English Bull Terrier, Minelab GPX 4500, Minelab Pro-Find 35, endless patience but not enough time.
I've got an Aldi one, and find it most useful to clean the wife and girl's jewelry. Warm water with a bit of ammonia does the trick. The back of diamond and sapphire rings can pick up a lot of grease and dirt and remarkably affect the brilliance of the gem, so it is worthwhule
It will remove dirt from a coin, but not do much about humic and fulvic acid and other soil stains.

Enzymatic detergents can be used in the ultrasonic bath to remove organic stains and compounds and work very well.

I just add a cuppla drops of "Morning Fresh" detergent in and sit back and watch the ripples.

Ended up ordering a larger one on eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2L-Digital- … 3345403849
That way I can use it for a whole bunch of things around the house. Also caters for my yet-to-come retirement nugget
