I've only heard people say what a great fish they are to catch. Can you eat them ?

Ooohhhh yeahhh! It's definitely a very pretty and unique area. Only came for a couple of years and now in our fourth.
We also got a few sweet lip, a coral trout, a spaniard and a school mackerel. Plus a few other species, a smorgasbord board kind of day. Even a few of those fugly Papuan jaw fish just to keep us on our toes. argh

Not the best fish and they don't get any better as they get bigger. They are getting eaten. Smaller ones can be fried day one. The rest end up as fish curry or as 'numus', which the locals love. https://goingstrait.com/tag/numus/
