SDC2300 aftermarket coil information and questions

Unless Minelab have done a deal with another company, replacing or modifying the SDC would void its warranty.

The cleaning procedures are listed on the user manual, but its basically wash clothes and hosing off with water.

Do you think if the first battery compartment O-Ring leaked that the water would get into the PCB area or do you think the battery compartment is fully sealed?

Apparently coil is plug in - connect .......... family matters I believe put this project on hold. Results should be interesting :Y:

Looking at the manual and sighting down the battery compartment
in mine, It is fully sealed off from the internal PCB,s and such.

Note this is only a PROTO TYPE coil for the SDC they are being worked on. I do not know how long the production coil is going to be and it may be different size and shape.Check the Nugget Finder web for more information on nugget finder products regards john :Y:

And apparently will come with a new cover for side of machine also .................. for foolproof access :Y: Should be a good bit of gear by the time it's ready to roll

Hopefully something comes from it. Would love a centre mounted coil for it as I find the rear mount a pain int the butt.

In relation to the last quote on SDC2300 Modified Post.
The 3rd coil i have found that is working compatible.
Is `The N/F Advantage ``16 Mono.
Can`t keep that secret to myself for ever.
They will see it on the fields eventually.
How Big is it Grechie ?

NF are still working on a coil for the SDC I put a photo on a few month ago but it was only a proto type ,it will not be released until It ticks all the boxes regards john :Y:

any more info on this rumour?

Last report was NF are still fine tuning them.

I know Dean at Goldsearch was testing a small elliptical last September. I'll drop him a line and ask...

Was hoping for a 14x9 or 12"..... Guess we will wait and see.

The one I saw being tested was a small elliptical, not sure of size but around 8x6. Won't get a reply to my email til at least tomorrow...
