Having bought an Equinox 800 off a PA member recently then a 15 coil off another Ive been busy finding some great stuff.
A couple of weeks ago l found a cartwheel penny, an 1806 penny and farthing.
A few days ago l took my wife into the city so l could look around a park Id had my eye on.
This particular park is frequented by hundreds of people a day.
On my first visit l only had 2 hours to spare so there wasnt much time to prospect the area so l just walked across the park towards some large trees.
Well before l got near the trees l fired the detector up not expecting to find much but l did.
7 pennies 2 halves a sixpence and a threepence along with $9 in goldies all in an area probably 20mx20m.

So fast forward 2 days l got up early and shot in there again expecting to really clean up on coins but l didnt.
I got a few within a half hour or so , a sixpence and shilling then l struck gold.
9carat gold ring with a large stone.
I spent 5 hours most of it down on my haunches digging targets and l was knackered.
For the day l scored the sixpence the shilling a threepence the gold ring an
apothecaries weight W&T Avery and few odds and sods.

Congratulations on the gold ring, not always an easy target in a park setting! :Y:

Rung up at 17 on the 15 equinox coil which can be a 50c
