Thought it best i make one thread and post updates to it as other members seem to be doing.

Learnt a valuable lesson yesterday, always go with a hunch and espically if backed up by research.
Place is only 1klm from work and ive been driving past it for 5 yrs, big open overgrown paddocks that

Proved to be former farmland that holds no less and probly more than 6 homesites.
These coins were recovered in 1.5 hrs in a very small area and after a debrief seems i wasnt even bang on the home site i was hoping to detect, this is my new go to area

Im hoping mate , things have been very bleak for the past few months and those are the first silvers in 5-6 months , fingers crossed for more updates :)

Link doesnt show where i was searching mate, just a Gov sight of historical Aerial photography for people to use for their research.

Funny thing about this site is where the coins are being found is nowhere near where any buildings were. There's bugger all rubbish targets and the coins are no deeper than 4 inches down. Im only guessing but i'd say the paddocks may of been used for a staging/camp area for the Army during and after WW2 , cant wait to get back in there Sunday
