One foot out the door
Always amazes me what you come across when to detecting, most often it's, sadly, dumped rubbish, occasionally wildlife but never come across one of these before .... guess it's either a crude windlass (or the remains of one ) or, some bugger didn't invite me to the party when he roasted a nice fat succulent pig on his spit.
