Upgraded Minelab Sd2000 Detector for sale
I recently purchased a GPX 4500 and being realist my old girl will sit idle and not be used as i barely get time to get out with the 4500 so time to go to a good home. Ive spent quite a few bob making this detector completely standalone that is no wires no harness standalone! that mean you can ut your detector down and dig for me being a big bloke a huge advantage.
The detech cover hold the batteries perfectly and everything else fits up to the unit.
The upgrades include:
- replaced ML sd2100 case as the 2000 case did a terrible job at protecting the switches and dials.
- two piece adjustable GPX shaft for a more solid swing - I have both the original and a GPX shaft which will go with the detector, if you are detecting and have the room for a two piece shaft the GPX is perfect and more solid in the swing, if you do a bit of backpacking and hiking the sd2000 green 3 piece shaft is awesome as it fits into a back pack very well with the detector and shaft coming in at 46cm as the longest of the three.
electronic upgrades
- Extra frequency for hot ground
- GPM gain mod - info provided to purchaser
- Sensitive and normal switch for fine gold with small coils
- Ground Balance extra range for GB2 - this is awesome in really mineralized ground that previously could not be balanced.
Extras
- Woody's side mount battery x 2 - fits inside the pouch comes with wall and car charger http://detectormods.com/products
- Woody's SD/GP Booster with battery meter and clip on speaker - this is awesome being able to control the boost volume straight from the unit see pics
- DD interference filter - great for working around near power lines etc.
- 8" Detech DD fully submersible coil awesome on small stuff, this is the coil i used 99% of the time, its response is super sharp and very little falsing at all.
- 11 inch Mono has been re-glued on top of case but works fine. shes an olde great in quiet ground.
Detector also comes with the standard battery, car charger, 240v charger everything you need to spend many days out detecting.
This detector will not suit everyone, if you want a detector that you can switch on with little customization this is not for you, you will need to learn this detector to get the best out of it. The range of settings and variations of frequency make this one powerful deep punching detector. i bought tyhis detector because i wanted to learn the first PI detector before investing in a more modern unit.
Ive written up a procedure for balance and configuration that i keep with the detector so anyone can use it on any day without knowing much about settings.
I also have a 14 inch DD coiltec Coil that i would consider parting with for $200 that works very well with this detector, any questions let me know. pickup preferred but happy to work something out for shipment.
