Two very different specimens

On a recent trip the photo shows two specimens, one is riddled with gold with very little showing.
The one on the left got my heart racing because it was also a screamer.
Rubbed away a bit of the red mud and revealed this.
Have never ever found any other like this but my only explanation is an old timer must have had a campfire and lead from a can melted and adhered to the rock?
Maybe someone has another explanation?

Thatd be my guess, the rock under whatever work they were doing.

Maybe it was pigeon like this one.

That is a statue of a homing pigeon. They are physically different from normal pigeons. On close inspection you'll find they have two rings. wiley.

Did a calculation on the 17.92 quartz specie shown in post #1 and was surprised to find it has 4.6 grams of gold hidden inside.

Definitely no acid, no crushing either the species remain intact.
Have proved in years gone by the gold/quartz formula is very accurate on the smaller species.
