A couple of years back we were talking about Holden 6's and I mentioned about the 186-X motor along with the 186-S etc A few XU1's had them fitted as did a couple of other cars, Well I just found a video of the Torana GTR-X which had the 186-X Motor in it,

Cool, that motor would be worth a quid nower days, I new they had put the 186-X in to a few cars back then, with your help I now know 3 of them existed, Your fathers car and the one in the video and one my mate had, They were the best motors/blocks that Holden ever produced, Setup right they were bullet proof with forged Cranks and Rods etc, where as the 179HP and the 186-S had cast Rods,

I was checking the 253's and the 308's last week and my brother use to have a VB/VC Commodore Wagon with the 253 in it and it's funny how things have changed because his VW 2L 4 cylinder Diesel wagon have more Horsepower than his 253 had and my 1.5L 4 pot Diesel Ford has almost as mush as the 253 had, layful: layful:
