I've seen some of these in antique stores hit high price values on the shelf. If you like I can get a rough price from a collector friend of mine who knows them in great detail. I guess say.... $55.

Wow $55. Is a lot,.probably from off a shelf though not out of the ground. :)

Be nice to own one still in the box.
But that would probably be pretty dear to buy.
I once seen a fellow with the matchbox car "station wagon with dogs in the back" still in it's box he was chasing $35.00 for it(about 10 years back),.. recon I should have bought it then while I had the chance.

i like the ring.
Me too TM,... looked really chuncky when it came out,.. dirt still in the centre of it,....wasn't too far from that old Lesney Jaguar either,...was still spinning from the ring when I snagged the Jag,....helped make up for that tiny little one cent hunt the other day. :)

Still,... would be nice to know what your freind thinks about old Lesneys out of the ground in any case AR.

Went to the beach today with the family,... young fella finds a full woodstock in the dry sand,... so of course, we break the detector out of the boot,...you know,..just in case there are some more buried nearby(ha),.... well we ended up finding $2.10 and what we thought was an old pocket knife,... but it's starting to look a lot like the business end of an old cut throat razor,...what do you'se recon ?

Cut throat razor ?
1439027503_sam_2462.jpg

the handle bit is eroded away over time(would have been on the left of picky).

It's this bit that makes me think,"cut throat" as it only goes so far for the back of the blade,... the finger movement part would be rusted away.
