Thanks fellas :D .... was a spot we'd both cleaned out by doin it a few times,so we had to be deliberate in order to score.... plus there were other detectorists holes (someones getting warmer)... (bet they cried there way home though lol) would'a been a hard slog for little reward for em. There's a penny and half penny still in the boot of the car too, so the other hunter wasn't on the 8 ball with it totally(whew). I like to make it that I can go back and still find stuff at my hunt sites by not being too thorough... that way you've still got spots to return too over and over with a chance. Looks like I gotta share one of my spots now hey (howdy stranger) :D

will have to see what daylight reveals I recon. :D

GemQ put this video up and the fella uses melamine sponge to clean a silver coin. Whilst I'd like to just jump in and use it on the 1912 6d I'm not sure if this product is the same thing, so I'll try it on a few other coins first and see what happens... I'll do some before after shots on some selected coins.
Back when I'm done. :Y:

Well.... my fingers are sore, but that's just bein old (goes with the territory)
Had to rub hard and you can feel its "micro abraisiveness.
So it'll be before, after, close-up with each coin as we go.
my apologies for the vision quality.... but it was the best I could do

myself.... well there's too much work for an unknown outcome with this product. I may play with it some more till it's gone over time. Cost me just over $4.00 for 8 little squares and I still have six left.
mind you, this may not be the same product as in the video. :D
