Is it just me or does any one think it's a bit rich these guys whinging at the rescuers for picking up a woman in distress before getting to them. I don't think that a lot of people care that people have to rick their lives to rescue them they believe its their right and when things go wrong or not to plan by the rescue team they whinge and carry on have seen this first hand a bloke got lost out near qulpie qld took 3 days 40 plus people 3 choppers and had the audacity to have a cry to the local paper about the time frame to which he was found

Media just struggling for news items...from the inside the crew wouldve been stoked with 3 winches in a shift and please wave at the helicopter cause sometimes its damn hard to see you!!!

Theyre are plenty of news items out there. Perhaps tv media have less money and resources to go and get them these days and instead rely on things like this and borrowed American news for content fill.

Personally, I would place my bet on the wisdom, knowledge and experience of those paramedics. They are brilliant, I heard one speak who was involved in the rescue during the Sydney to Hobart some years back. He was a very reluctant hero, courageous and professional.
