Strangers approaching you while detecting

Only once have I come accross anyone while detecting. Fellow fossicker in his car, stopped and told me where he was headed, asked how I was doing, offered me some appreciated advice, and wished me well, then moved on. Apart from that, ive never come accross any other people when ive been out detecting.

The first people I came across while detecting told me I wouldn't find anything where I was 10 mins later I found my biggest nugget so far.

The second time I ran into some people they gave me some great advice which led to almost an ounce. Took some beers down to their campsite later that evening
