I sit in front of a computer all day , so i have ample time to research new sites , last weekend i spent a couple hours swinging the Nox over an unmarked old school site , opened in 1890 and closed in 1960's. Site is loaded with iron and as im only just learning the NOX800 i didnt do to bad . I was just random searching getting a feel for the layout of the area off a 1940's aerial photo i got from online , im itching to get back out there and break the area down and start gridding it.
Here's what i scored.

The English half looks in real good nick.
I find half the fun is in the research and anticipation of what you will find at a new site.
Beats watching TV of a night.

Mate im loving the research side of this hobby , yeah that 1/2 is in amazing condition looks to of been dropped when it wasnt very old. Found it as i was following the old road in , best thing is this site has that feel like it's never been detected , going to take me a good 3-4 months of Sundays to get it done right i'd guess

Sweet half penny, gridding up the area should hopefully produce some more good results. If the ground was cleared or ripped, finds could be spread a lot further from the actual site than expected. :)

Cool finds wrecka. Nice when research comes to fruition. Half penny looks clean as, and always cool to find something pre 1900s. Good luck on rest of the site!
