I hope Ron doesn't get upset with me for posting this but here goes, this is a copy/paste from his post on another forum.
"Finally home.
Went into Hospital for a 5 day procedure [ileostomy reversal] on August 27th.
Got an infection on the table resulting in 6 operations in 5 weeks, 4 weeks in intensive car (which I can't recall).
Had my entire large bowel removed [was dead] and half my chest wall.
The last 2 weeks have been spent learning to walk again.
So I guess corrugated roads are now a no go, as is any lifting or strenuous exercise"
