The Pogues frontman Shane Macgowan died yesterday aged 65, in Dublin. He was described by Aussie rock icon Nick Cave as "one of the greatest songwriters of his generation". I've got quite a few of The Pogues songs on my Spotify playlist, I love they're version of And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, if I knew how to put it on here I would, so you could have a listen.

I knew Nev when he helped build the Coiltek Gold Centre, he did all the plastering and did a great job, too. A great character and well liked by everyone. He will be missed.
