Heya all. Was out at Tuena on the weekend and had read about nuggety gully. Lady in the shop said it was south just past the tar ending on the left. Went there and that says it is a parks and wildlife controlled conservation area?

Is that the wrong spot?

Also, across the river from the campground and througn the gate we went for a drive up into the hills and down onto the river again. Some nice spots, plenty of evidence of sluicing but is this real,y allowed in those areas? Is that private land or able to go anywhere and detect, sluide or pan?

Most of nuggety gully is within the conservation area and not open for prospecting.

Once you go through the gate on the other side of the creek near the campground you are on leased ground. You should get permission to be there, the lease holder really doesn't like people going up over the hill and down the back without permission.
