New Rookie

Hi to all,

I'm a semi-retired swimming pool tiler that is keen to now use my spare time for fossicking and my tools for a venture into lapidary.

I have used and cut a huge amount of natural stone over the years, as well as more slithers of glass mosaics then I care to remember.

My next stage is to get suitable eqipment for detecting as well as specific tools for intricate grinding and polishing.

I have gathered a few stones to start with, jaspers, agates etc as well as some I have no idea what they are, so I thought I would get busy increasing my geology knowledge.
