mystery object help

Hi Folks
attached image was recovered just south east of Menzies to day by a fellow detector. its all metal, has a small pulley wheel one end and it looks like a mini lathe with adjustable holding screws.it's size can be judged by the thumb. it appears to be handheld with metal tongue for handle which has long disappeared. Any ideas please?

I reckon a hand powered bow lathe. The bow drives it of the bobbin type end and handle mounts in lathe. Damn interesting find if it is :Y:

A jewelers or watch makers lathe maybe , the more i stare at it , the more it looks like a qaulity precision tool. :Y: :Y: :Y:

Here are some more images that may aid if identifying object. it is all steel, no copper or brass. general consensus around camp is that it is a bobbin holder of some description. there is no brass or copper.

Yeah, bogger might be on track, judging by the dial in knob on top, it's for fine calibration.

We think we have found the answer? It is a lower bobbin winder unit off an old sewing machine. Mr. Google has several images of different brand vintage machines that have winder units almost an exact match.
