Hi guys,

Have spent the last week digging up pull tabs, bottle tops and aluminium cans (or bits of), but finally I've found a spot that yields all of those things, plus some coins!

I do not really know what I am doing yet but have enjoyed my morning in the sun looking around.

Can anyone tell me what I should do to clean the halfpenny? The back is not even readable because there is so much green stuff stuck to the back of it!

Well done Hamish looks like you're onto a good spot, just sent you a PM on the setup, sorry it took a while to answer, totally forgot to........

Love the penny, personally I would leave that one as is, but the half penny might be too far gone to be worthwhile. You can clean it if you want, but it will leave a lot of pitting on the coin surface once the all the chunky bits of oxidation are removed. :)
