Gday Danny,
There are a few of us on here still using the various sovereign models with reasonable success
I havent used any other detector on the beach and while this set up still performs as it does i dont see any reason to change
Unfortunately i dont get to the beach much now that ive moved
Heres a link to my posts ,shows my set up and progressive improvement

Still using a Sov xs2-pro , does everything i need plus more so ive never considered upgrading :)

There are faster machines out there, But The sovereign/s are in a league of their own, and my favourite ML was the musketeer advantage,, I wish ML would do what they did with the 4500 and re-release them, They made detecting fun. The Sovereign's have a place in history.

Okay silver hear are the coins I found last night most will end up in the fuel tank except for the foreign coins also there is an unusual ring with what looks like a moonstone .
