The mine is 150m from my house. Was preparing dinner when all these sirens got real close.

Thought it might have been the guy searching for Sam Murphys body in the bush near there. Wasnt until it came up on the Ballarat Courier webpage did I know it was the mine collapse.

Be interesting to see what Worksafe say in relation to the air legging process.

According to ABC news report:
"In 2007, 27 workers at the mine became trapped after a tunnel collapsed 700 metres underground."

"Prior to the company falling into administration in 2021, Victoria's mining regulator had put the previous operators of the mine on notice after a tunnel collapse."

He has been taken off the critical list, but still in a VERY bad way
breathing was improving the had to be tubed again
more to follow
there is a go fund me page set up for him, which is bloody nice from his friends and colleagues.....35k in 4 days

Connor has had his 9th surgery and is now starting his skin grafts. Hes in good spirits and continues to amaze everyone around him

The young man is now out of ICU
Now off Kidney dialysis, still hasn't move his legs due to skin grafts but things are looking up

Connor took his first steps yesterday which is a bloody miracle (albeit with a walking frame). Such a strong young lad
His progress is outstanding
