Hadn't been out for a swing in a while so took the kids to the skate park, few more spendables to bring the total to $209 on the nose.
The ring is just a junker and tiny, reckon there should be some jewlery there so will be going back with the descrimination set to hopefully find something gold.

Skate parks are always good hunting grounds for spendables. Used to have one near me that was constantly replenished, just needed to dodge the sprinklers at night. :D

Haven't been able to get out much latley and when i did there was nothing too much to report, a few spendables, a BB coin spill of at least a dozen or so 1 & 2 cents

But today came across a large huge projectile ]:D :D
Can any of the military minded out there hint to what it is, measures 59mm in length and 13mm diameter, but i suspect that may supposed to be 1/2"?
Doesnt look like its been fired and seems to be copper not lead, anyway i enjoyed the different find :D

Had a chane to scout out a new location today, a quick 50 min swing with the family in the car distracted by technology on the way home.
Area is an old disused cricket pitch, 1 hour from home but still worth the drive.
I jumped out the car and first target was a 1cent, at least theres coins there to be found i thought, i even enjoy finding the BB's lol.
Trash wasn't unbareable so decided to bring it all home to check my ratio out.
Was stoked to find a silver in my quick stop off, dates a bit worn but its 192.... something so 92.5% :Y:

The number 2 Bobby Locke wooden driver was an interesting find.
Also can anyone tell me what the round things in left of picture are? They ring up really good nuMbers so always have to dig them in anticipation lol.
Both 1cents were 1966, 2 moderns were found at a different location.

Heading back there wednsday for a few hours to do it a bit better so hopefully turn up another silver

The round things look like football boot sprigs that used to be screwed to leather boot soles. As a kid in the 60s I had a pair of leather high top rugby league boots with such sprigs.

Boot sprigs makes sense being an old oval :Y: never would have thought of that.
I feel like theres plenty more of them there from the small section i did haha, lucky the diggings easy. Basically just sandy dirt.
Cleaning the thrippy in lemon juice currently but still cant make out the final digit, will update hopefully when i have a confirmation date !

Went back to the old cricket pitch for a few hours today, no silvers but did manage this cool half penny.
I wasn't sure where it was from at first with its ship on the reverse but a quick search revealed its an english bronze half pennny. It looks to be in really good condition too :D
Not sure what the other items are.
