Looking for a new area to check out

Hi all Im Lee Im looking for a new area to go fossicking around Wollombi or Barrington tops area for anything from gold to gems and crystals Im on the central coast and just want a closer area to take my kids for a day or two before I go on my bigger trips up to nundle and places north of there any info will be much appreciated

We are all looking for new patches, I can't help you with that region but the thing with prospecting is its the skill of finding patches, i would just look for areas that are similar to where you have been before , same trees , same rocks , SAME same.
Then find where you can get access too, don't trespass!

Anyway good luck , maybe if your 1st post had a bit more on yourself more dudes would help. Hey if all else fails go to an information center or google your back yard.
Remember prospecting is detective work to track down the minerals you seek and that includes research.

Yes we all need new places. But the problem is no one will give up places producing gold.
Research and more research will be your best way of finding locations

No great secrets ther, and you should find something suitable for the kids. But as the guys say, anything more than that and you really need to do detailed research....
