Introduction hi I’m Ipatch. From Geelong

I’m new to detecting have purchased a SDC 2300 detector and am a complete novice looking to meet up with experienced peopls to learn more about gold detecting and make new new friends , about me I am 72 yrs old and have COPD which means I have to stop regularly to catch my breath , I love the outdoors and hoping to meet like minded folk cheers all ( Tony ) Geelong Corio

Welcome to the Forum Tony. You purchased a great machine that will compliment you well and give you every chance of success out there in the big paddock. Many areas around the GT are flat enough to give you a real chance considering your condition. Remember to go extremely low and slow...that way you will pick up plenty of nuggets that some of the younger and fitter fellas rush over. The tortoise will always beat the hare in this hobby mate.
