Hi Guys,
Long time stalkers, first post!
We camped at the Grabben Gullen public fossicking area a couple of weeks ago chasing sapphires. The public area there is pretty flogged out, got zilch the first day.
Met a couple of good army lads Aaron and Matt, shared a meal and some drinks over the camp fire and decided to team up the next day. We got one tiny speck, then a slightly larger one. They were both from directly in the creek, hanging out with the worlds fattest tiger leeches. I am definately getting some waders for the next trip! There were plenty of spinel in the creek, awesome for practicing centering the heavies.
We'll be meeting up with Aaron and Matt in a couple of weeks to try somewhere new. Will post pics .
