Well Jacob and I got out again yesterday arvo because he wanted $7 for a usb cord. We got a little more than he needed but he's happy and so am I because I got to go out and get some fresh air and exercise.
We got some silver and a junker ring....that's 17 for the year so far and I am sure there will be plenty more.
One never truly knows what one will uncover until the beep is in the scoop.

Until next time...Happy detecting and best of digging to all.

Cheers GDA :) :Y:

Got out yesterday - Monday for a dig and managed to pull out another silver ring and I think the other is Titanium....
Saw the glimmer of gold and thought woah can it be....I don't believe it is even though at 4.3 grams for an earring that is pretty heavy.
Lots of coins around a little over $37 so I am very happy with that session of 3 hours...

Alot of people losing stuff in your area mate.
That should keep you busy.
Nice chunky earring. :perfect:

Yeah mate it is....Oh I forgot to mention a guy with his 2 sons and a daughter using an ancient detector...Can't recall the name and I showed him a few tricks with it....His father gave it to his grandson and said put ya batteries in and start detecting...Not a bad little machine as well - only the depth was lacking at around 3-4 inches but otherwise a good starter for the young lad.

Hey everyone it's been a very busy start to the year for us here but I have managed to get out and find some more rings, coins and the odd surprise.
Weather has been very hot of late and I may be getting out a bit more...The tides being really low are good for me to get out water detecting..
The sound of the beep beep beep 30 metres from the shoreline in thigh high water really gets the heart racing.
Anyway here are my finds for the last few digs...

Beach and Park digs...

Thanks Sandta and Danny, loving the weather but not loving the business of life and will slow down a little more on the swing especially in the water.

I couldn't sleep last night and so at 1:30 am I decided to go for a detect.
The low tides continue to be good and I managed to get right out in the ring zone.
The first target was a faint 6 TID and so I start digging, I never rechecked the TID as I got a nice loud crisp beep beep and so thinking
I had it in the scoop I pulled the scoop up and nothing...Swung the detector over the hole and nothing..I knew it was there and
figured it must have dropped to the bottom of the hole which was a good 12-14 inches deep and so in with the scoop and shake shake shake,
then I hear the sound of Gold....The pinging sound as it rattled against the scoop walls.. 18ct with 4 diamonds, 1 diamond smashed to smithereens.
I also found my 2nd threepence earring....woop woop

The finds...
