I'm gettin me a "truffle dog" :playful:

Serious thing.

We had two female English Springer Spaniels, the eldest born from highly awarded field trial champions in Australia.

One of her sibling puppies was taken to Tasmania to be trained for 'truffle hunting' and did actually find truffles as a first in Australia,
normally pigs have been trained to do this type of hunt.

Other pups had been trained for Customs duties.

With their sensitive sense of smell, I would believe that these dogs could locate that type of fungus after successful training.

I had seen my dogs do some amazing things by scent alone.

Plenty off that around here mate, this one wanted to give me a hand today. The media keeps saying they are almost extinct but there are heaps around here.

and get a trolly, 400 hundred metres i
had to pull this lump out of the scrub
to the car. Used to lifting bags of spuds,
just managed to get it in the car, must
weigh about 70kg or more, wish it was
gold. Molybdenum , iron or tin?
