Out of interest , anyone done much prospecting around the freemantle rd side of the Macquarie River about 30kms outside of Bathurst. Always fascinated when driving back via Gowan Rd from Ophir and when coming into Freemantle, can see 5 or 6 quartz reefs running parallel up and over the hills as far as the eyes can see yet can not find any information on the area through research etc. Have a friend who has property out there, yet trying to find information before scouting the area out. Additionally , north side of the Turon from Sofala towards Mudgee, assume this is all private property out there? Was thinking about dropping a couple of leaflets off to ask the question if I could have a look in exchange for a carton of beer when I go, or a couple of bottles of wine as appreciation as see no other way.

Always prefer a note, people get a bit standoffish when someone starts driving onto their property. Has worked well in the past and gives people a chance to think about it. You been in either of those locations?
