I just watched a few Youtube videos on an exceptional human being by the name of Dick Proenneke. He lived alone in the wilderness for 30 odd years. His outlook on life and the way he treated the land and animals was amazing. I can highly recommend watching some of his videos. He built all of his own shelters and lived mainly off the land. Thanks for this Kemjak57. I have often dreamt of living this sort of lifestyle. Its just a shame that even though its the most harmless thing to do, its not allowed.

Yeah I saw these guys as well but haven't watched theirs yet. I often think I was born in the wrong era. My wife thinks so too.

Cheers very interesting, here's our very own Tarzan who lived in FNQ rainforest on his own for 50 odd years. Links aren't my thing but if you google Michael Tarzan Fomenko, there's plenty there. He was a absolute legend in FNQ when I a young fella.

Yes I remember him shuffling along the highway with his hessian sack over his shoulder. He put all the young fellas to shame with his fitness at his age. Definetly a legend.
