We had the Aussie Bush Kettle until last year (or was it the year before) when we rolled the trailer. The kettle was in the front of my quad in its nice white canvas bag and survived the rollover ok. Then we loaded both quads onto the traybody of my brother's ute and drove into the nearest town for a pub lunch. By the time lunch was over the kettle was gone and I've not been able to buy one since. Everywhere is out of stock even when some still advertise them.

It's an excellent little compact kettle so I'm reluctant to buy another brand.

Just wondering if anyone out there still adds a couple of gum leaves to their billy of tea? Sorry Peter i don't mean to stray from your original question but it just came to me.

A bit of a KIss message mate.- pretty soon we'll have caravan's equipped with everything away from home. Not enough room for all the toilet paper needed till 2023. :(

If I want a Coffee when I'm off playing in the bush etc I have a huge Stanley Coffee Press ( French Press ) that makes up 1.3L or 1.4Qt, I imported it from the US.

EDIT:- Oh and it keeps it Hot for up to 4 hours.

Have been usiing coffee tins with lid rims removed and a wire handle fitted for decades. Only for brewing tea. Small fire and bringing water to the boil while we chomp on a few cruscits and toppings. Tuna, red onion, cheese, peanut paste, vegemite, the list is endless.
Water boiling add handful of tea leaves and 5 minutes or so later, perfect brew.

Ive been using a Kelly Kettle for years. Not sure what size it is so I filled it with water. Holds about 800ml when full. Gives enough for 2 mugs of tea or coffee with enough water left over to put the fire. Didnt want the larger one as it takes up more space and takes longer to boil. It is a permanent fixture in the ute. Fire ban periods are its only limitation.

For a quick morning hit of. Caffeine Ive got one of the minipresso s, takes the Aldi pods makes a real good espresso or doppio. Boil the water in a jet boil.

If theres more time I set up the camp percolator and brew a nice big strong pot and can keep it on the fireside. Good on a cold evening with a shot of rum.

We take a Thermos or 2 with us for coffee/Tea when day detecting.
Have seen Kelly Kettles in use in the past, interested in the size you/partner use eg 1.6l or .6lt. With the .6 to me its 1 big cup or 2 small. or course you can refill/reheat and its smaller.

I believe mine is the 1.6L one. It's so long since I got it, but it isn't the small one and I don't think it is the big one either. A handy bit of kit, and just need a few small sticks to get it rocking, but fire restrictions limit the times it is used.

I use a couple of options. Either the traditional stovetop espresso maker:

or coffee bags, the Robert timms ones you get from coles and Woollies if I want a quick coffee. These aren't bad, better than instant, but not as good as an espresso: https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/robert-timms-gold-colombia-coffee-bags

I have been thinking about getting a bit "coffee nerdy" and getting a Bellman, but they cost a bit and are a bit of stuffing around. There are a few bellman options out there, here's one: https://alternativebrewing.com.au/products/bellman-espresso-steamer-cx-25p

If Im car-camping, I use my aeropress. All I need is ground coffee and a small bit of filter paper. Simple to use, wash and being all plastic, its almost indestructible.

If Im backpacking, Ill take a coffee bag.

Having spent all too many years away from civilisation, Ive gotten accustomed to no milk or sugar, so great coffee is pretty simple
