I can't believe something that old (and a paper note) has survived since being issued in Aussie land in 1817. It must have been kept in all the right conditions to have lasted well enough to be worth that much!

Someone was clever enough to put it away. Then it was probably forgotten about.
A significant piece of Australian history.

No had a mate sitting in the Auction texting the results to me.
I was only interested in the gold coins.
It was never in Australia came from a Collection held in Scotland till 2000.
Then brought back here by a collector I believe.
