The Coilek or ML salt coil is basically a specially wound coil that provides both ground balance and noise canceling at the same time. If this is used on the SPP or TDI it should run quiet most anywhere and in many places run well with the GB off.

A salt coil is made by winding a mono coil for the transmit but has a balanced figure 8 receive winding. The idea behind this coil is the receive has two halves of the figure 8 with each acting equal and opposite of the other. So, if the coil is kept level, ground signals and noise signals cancel while target signals will be detected under the two windings. Unfortunately, you will get strange non functional signals under one half and normal signals under the other half of the receive winding.

So, if anyone has a salt coil or has access to one, you might try it and see what it does. Make sure to see if you can run with the GB off.
