I have a vent that is letting in bug's

It is a flywire vent

Do I use a spray glue on it and put another peace over it or do I remove the hole lot then replace?

Please don't forget I am trying to do this by myself

I can not hold both sides of it by myself and I have no help on hand :D

Goody :)

A pic would help but definitely dont glue
should be some sort clamping system or rubber Gromit holding the wire on

are they those midgee buggars!
I've had them in behind the tail lights and in dash display!
0.5mm and there in!
Are they getting through the screen, or air gap?
Some weather shield adhesive foam might help take up the gap

Screen.. looks like a flyscreen...airfent in caravan...

Have bought flyscreen and spray glue..

Will get a picture up tomorrow

Right next to the bed

you can get adhesive Velcro.
Loop side stuck to outer border, hook side sticking to finer new screen. $10.
There is a proper supple screen for such.

Another idea to try. Have you got a hot glue gun? Carefully cut the old piece out, cut a new piece and maybe start in the corners first with a small dab, wait till it skins off and flatten with your finger. The big thing is trying to get it neat, a bit fiddly but may work.

Maybe put some masking tape down so to get straight edges.

Cut a peice big enough to fold an edge over about 15 mm wide.
Using a cloths iron, Fold over and iron flat.
You should have a piece 15 mm wider than the original.

Using some clear silasic, Run a small bead around the edge of
where the hole is.

Wait about 15 minutes for it to go off a bit.
Lay the new piece over the hole and press it into the silastic.
Smooth it over a bit with a wet finger.

It will be dry in about 24 hours.

Silastic is one of the best general glues you can use. Just a bit
fiddly to stop it from slumping.
