I live in the Geelong region and never have success at Torquay beach for some reason. But saying that..since 1st January I have found nearly $50 on other beaches around Geelong. Been going out early evening when beaches are a bit quieter. Too busy with holiday makers through the day.

Hi Silver, so glad you love my clock....I love it too....and will never part with it. Best $19.25 I have ever spent. Sadly there are only 2 shillings on the clock, one is 1931 and the other is 1953. No 1933. Is the 1933 shilling valuable?

Thank you mbasko. I looked up calgarycoin.com and after much looking I have come to the conclusion that my coin is from the Emporor Sheng Tsu 1662-1722. Tried to upload a photo but file was too big.

So happy to have found my first Chinese coin. Found this coin not far from where I found a 1858 Holloways token middle of this year. Would have loved to do more detecting here but was too scared of the snakes. Will go back next year when it is not snake season

AtomRat, I was visiting my brother who has a holiday home in that area. My husband and I took our detectors and my brother was keen for us to detect on his property. Now he wants to buy a detector...lol

I was up in the Golden Triangle yesterday near Castlemaine just for the day. Had my xterra 705 fired up for only 20 seconds then got a 46. My husband started to dig and out popped the 1858 Holloways token. Couldn't believe it. I wish all good finds happened that quickly.
