    Third time out

I agree with 1 out of 100 targets, I only don't understand these people that post on facebook, they go out for couple of hours and come back with a dozen of nuggets, it is just me to be unlucky or these people are full of sh....t. :)

Why the big deal on Discrimination?

I never used the discrimination on the GPX, now I have a GPZ, I prefer to dig every signal, for me is the only way to be sure if is gold or something else. I don't mind to dig, is part of the fun, the anticipation. So no I don't miss the discrimination on my detector.

    Embarrassed Novice

Congrats on your choice, my wife had a 705 for couple of years and had a lot of fun, just recently we upgrade to an SDC2300, now you have a serious machine, so be patient and do a lot of research, gold will come, good luck.

    Is it just me??

I have noticed for long time that I am more productive in the morning, if I don't find something in the first two/three ours, I know that will be a disappointing day, especially in the hot months after lunch I keep on going but with less energy and less enthusiasm.

    Headphones or Speaker

I only use a BZ booster and speakers, I hate headphones and even more to be attached to the metal detector with wires, and I don't think I miss much, I found nuggets 0.4, 0.6 of a gram. Even if I miss the fly shit I am not worry.

Dismantling old timers mounds/mullocks - legalities???

Personally I never spend any time on the mulloch heaps, there is so much ground to be covered and morally for me they are the history of this country and I don't like to ruin them, also like grubstake said if there is something is in the metal detector range I swing a 7000 and I found nuggets...

Home made harness for metal detecting

I am looking to make my own harness because I am not very happy with the one that come with the 7000, and the harness on the market are too expensive, I need something light but strong, with the d rings for the bungy and the speaker, the one that DD make is not bad, but using a 7000 I don't need...

    Minelab vs Non-branded generic

If you are genuinaly interested in finding gold, like you said, you need a good detector, in my opinion Minelab make the best metal detector for gold, my suggestion is to buy the best you can afford, forget about Aldi or other cheap metal detectors that you find on eBay, because you will only...
