Thanks for watching and for the comments. Not sure what wrong message it sends out silver - obviously I had to pre dig and plant the finds as they were found previously and not at the time of recording as it says at the end.

My first CZ21 did not have that issue, however I sent mine back to First Texas as I had a headphone issue and they sent me a new replacement machine. My new machine also has this issue but i just tightened the screws really hard and it seems to hold the coil in place. Shouldnt have to struggle...

Coming from South Africa where you constantly have to watch over your shoulder, I wanted to hear how safe it would be in Australia (Perth specifically) to go out to the beach at night to detect alone. Is it something that is safe to do, or something thats not recommended? We have had quite a...

Going to be based in Perth, however first need to do a 3 month stay in Melbourne but I wont be able to detect during those 3 months as I won't have my detector with me in Melbourne.

Went to a field today for a change from my beach hunts. Don't like fields, they hard work! Much prefer the beach :) I however did find a silver 1926 2.5 shillings coin, so all worth it.

It's great when you have the beach to yourself and then come home to de-thaw - and with a haul like that, it makes it all worthwhile :) It's when you come home empty handed that makes you wonder whether you crazy to be doing this hobby :P

Found a coin at an eroded part of the beach yesterday, it was completely covered with another layer of hard crust from being at the beach so long. There was no way of telling what the coin was until I tried cleaning off the crust, which in turn would naturally destroy the coin. I went ahead...

Went out for a quick beach hunt this morning in the rain! I had also recently read Gary Draytons blog about not only going at low tide but go detect anytime... I missed low tide by about 4 hours so was working much higher up the beach than I usually do. All this paid off with this unusual ring...

Beaches been sanded in here and only been finding the odd coin here and there over the last couple of hunts. Last night I managed to pull out 2 rings, both steel. Happy things are starting to change again - still need a good storm to take away the sand!

I think I found a gold coin at the beach... Looks like someone converted it into a jewellery piece that came loose. Apparently from my research, it appears it is not a real gold coin from 1865 but rather a fantasy coin used in marriage etc. Seems some are gold plated and some are plated over...
