Nugget Finder Mono 8x6 Sadie Coil

For settings there were only a few that I ever played with and changed, namely RX gain which I would run as high as possible before getting EMI etc generally I ran that anywhere between about 11 and 16 or so, generally higher in the cooler months and lower in summer as you seem to get a heap...

Nugget Finder Mono 8x6 Sadie Coil

Hey mate- my sadie used to practically live on my 5000 and probably payed for its self 20 times over. Heres a few tips: - Don't be afraid to rub it on the ground. The sadie is made for getting the small stuff, and with a lot of those small faint signals you wont hear them unless your rubbing it...

Nugget Finder Mono 8x6 Sadie Coil

Hey mate- my Sadie hardly ever comes off my 5000- absolute dynamite on the small stuff. As for depth on the bigger stuff ive pinged a couple bits around the 5 gram mark at about 8 inches or so. Also recently dug a hole in the side of a spoil pile that ended up being mid thigh depth, 25-30 inches...

how long did it take you to find gold?

Took me a few months. first bit was a 6 grammer about 10" down that give a real faint signal- i actually heard it and walked a few steps past it before i decided to go back and recheck- even then i wasnt real sure if it was a signal or ground noise but luckily decided to scrape a few inches of...

Best Metal Detector to start with?

Hey mate, Buy the latest model minelab PI you can afford, so if price isnt an issue go for a GPX5000, if price is an issue work back from there-GPX 4500,4000, GP 3500, 3000, extreme, etc. Personally i started with a GP extreme which aint a bad detector but finds were few and far between- since...

    Weekend finds

Heres one i got with the goldbug but had trouble as i kept losing the signal, so i threw all the spoil pile i had dug into a bucket and panned it off later. Definately a few more for the goldbug to find in this particular area. :)

How do forum members clean their finds?

Ive tried quite a few different things for cleaning up gold and nothing beats Alibrite, youve just got to be careful using it ie wear gloves and glasses. Drop your nuggets in a plastic container with the Alibrite for about 3 days and give the container a bit of a shake once a day or so. They...

Prospecting / Gold Detecting Tours & Training WA Western Australia

Im pretty sure they sold out of Nuggets from down under and are not associated with them anymore, but yeah you are right in that it was them. They have a face book page called gold tours now. I had a mate that did one of the 10 day tours and loved it, got over a hundred little nuggies.
