Hi all, it's been a while since I checked in. I have to share my last outing....best average ever and a pb nugget. Dug 3 targets for 3 bits of gold going 3.5gms with my SDC and not a piece of lead. Deepest targets so far, 8 inches for the 2 bigger bits. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Had a frustrating day today really struggling to get my sdc to run smoothly. Finally got it to settle and found some small stuff. I wish it ran smooth every time I went out!

Went out today and found my sdc not running smooth, re channelled several times, ground balanced, tried heaps of other settings but could not get it to settle like usually. The only thing I could put it down to was a new earth magnet I bought that was on the head of my pick I was carrying. They...

Great read, a question......as a prospector are we within our rights to dig the the mullock heap to maybe reveal gold under the top layers??

Had a nice Saturday arvo swing picking up 5 small pieces. One piece was solid and round almost mistaking it for lead!

Couple of nice pieces this afternoon. Weather held off with only a couple light showers. All 4 pieces found around old workings no deeper than 1 inch. Might get out early and thoroughly cover this spot instead of just wandering around in any direction.

Went for a swing this arvo after lunch and found a great little spot. 4 small bits from a creek bed, the SDC was singing like a canary today!
