How you going in this Heat

It's been getting up into the mid 30's lately here in Darwin, but since we have been getting a lot of rain over the last couple of weeks, it's going to start cooling down, where I live is not far from the sea, so I do get some sea breeze coming in, and Darwin is located in the Tropics too, I...

    Testing Nuggets With Multimeter (Ohms).

The specific gravity of Gold is 19.32, that is, if you compared the weight of a cubic centimeter of Gold to the weight of a cubic centimeter of water, the Gold will weigh 19.32 times heavier than water, the old-time prospectors used this fact to their advantage when panning for Gold, since the...

    Testing Nuggets With Multimeter (Ohms).

As stated in one of the above posts, measuring the resistance isn't going to be a reliable method of determining whether what you found is gold or not, most metals usually do have an electrical resistance lower than about 0.1 ohm, even Aluminium, and you also have to take into account the...

On the Cheap (i.e run out of money!)

Since I'm going to be popping into my local Bunnings store soon, I'll see if I can grab a cheap scoop from the gardening section, or see what I can find anyway.

    Backing up PC's, laptops etc

Yep, it is always a good idea to do a complete system hard drive re-format and clean-install of the operating system every 6 months to keep your computer running at it's best, I'm going to have to install a bigger SSD (Solid State Device) hard drive in my new Acer laptop soon, since I've only...

    Backing up PC's, laptops etc

I've found that the best way to do your backing up is to do it manually, I normally do that whenever I have to do a complete reformat of the computer's system hard drive before I do a complete clean-install of the operating system, this involves going through all my folders, such as Documents...

This is close to the mark.

Yep, so true, and it doesn't just include that subject, it also goes for most other subjects discussed on facebook too.

    Backing up PC's, laptops etc

It depends on what method you're using to do all your backing up, are you using a special app that does all your backing up for you?, most of the time I just copy all my wanted files and data onto the external hard drive manually.

Who is spending Christmas alone ?

I think I have a few things to be thankful for this Christmas season: 1: I'm still alive. 2: I have a roof over my head. 3: I'm happy. 4: I'm still able to enjoy all the good things life has to offer me, and all the things I like to do.
