    Beach detecting

Yeeeeah boi nice find mate! Btw make sure you flush out inside the coil shaft with fresh water if it has been in the ocean as the salt eats away the rubber coating on the coil lead.

    Beach finds with the ATX

The big storm system that came up the coast a couple of weeks ago moved just enough sand to hit these babies! I wasn't as thorough as I normally am but I searched where I knew the most sand had been moved and the area produced well for 3hrs work! -Both 9ct gents rings and a .925 with 9k inlay...

    Re: Chinese Silver Sycee

Thanks Richo! I'm not so worried bout the silver content as to its historical (if any) value. beeing that Sycees don't come round that often and are quite expensive items on ebay!

    Re: Chinese Silver Sycee

I bought this piece on Ebay a while back and was wondering if anyone knew where and what time its from and its value over its weight of silver? weighs 90g.

First find with my new ATX

Also depends on your settings. I found the best for me is factory reset, no ground balancing, sens @13, iron disc @3 for the wet, 0 in dry and threshold @9. But yeah depends on the mineralization of particular beaches. I have actually dug a 20c coin over 2 feet in the dry with these settings!

Not that much trash actually- consider though I dont live near the city and we had some great storms. I reckon less junk than using my AT Gold! But I think the goods to junk ratio will increase into summer.
