Hi Davo. Back in the good old days when dredging was legal in Victoria, I spent many days in the Gibbo with a 6" dredge. Got some very nice gold out there. It was fairly patchy but was quite coarse. Probably still plenty left there if you are prepared to search. Jeff

Ben78 has the right idea. Build yourself a miller table. I have used one for years and would have nothing else for fine gold recovery. Slate is the best to use if you can get a piece large enough. If you can't get any slate, visit your local stone mason and get a slab of granite and paint it...

Very good reading. Will change the way many people build their sluice boxes. I have the complete report by Prof. Polling and Randy Clarkson. It was required reading for my Masters. Jeff
