    Snakes & Prospecting Safety

Hello everyone, Lets hope a few can advise on the following queries please. Sorry for quite a few questions, but I'd rather ask. Been winter, I know snakes are very sparse but are around according to the experts as they do not hibernate like other species. Because its cold, the chances of...

    Black Heavies In Pan

    Black Heavies In Pan

Maybe high storm water is not the best idea, I asked a question in the forum if it scatters the gold in all sorts of places...

    High Creek Water Levels

Hi all, Does anyone have any advice if its a good idea to prospect after high water? I tried when the water went down a bit but struggled, do I assume the gold gets chucked everywhere and its tricky to read, or is it a good time due to fresh deposits moving around and getting jammed in cracks...

    Sluicing & Bait Pumps

Hi all, What's the exact ruling when it comes to using a sluice in Victoria? Reading most of the regulations and usual "can use hand tools", and "not mechanical tools", it looks perfectly legal to use a sluice. I have also adapted a bait pump with interchangeable ends with different sizes...
