Hi Peacekeeper
I'd love to get my hands on one of your crevice attachments but notice you don't have PM/Email enabled here and I couldn't find you on eBay.
Are you still making/selling these?
"Hi. My name is Golddigg. It's been 3 days since my last highbanker purchase..."
You've got some serious options there. I guess half the fun is deciding what to take with you.
Just wondering if there is any science or recommendations behind how fast a trommel should turn?
I've been thinking about a pelton drive trommel add-on to my Walbanker.
I think you could make a pelton drive reasonably easily from metal scraps (or maybe spoons :) ) and you wouldn't have to lug...
Hi Lancebarker
Not sure if you're from Vic or Canberra, but MetalMart at Fyshwick (Canberra) has a scrap metal facility out the back and usually have the vertical catwalk mesh cheap.
I still haven't been able to locate the sloped mesh as yet.
DirtyBob
Half the fun is getting there. Thought you were going to stop and setup until I saw bitumen again.
A lot of river crossings... Just need a bucket line on the front and a sluice on the back...
Amazing how aggressive you can be with a Super Sluice.
I have other Garrett pans I really like, but Santa was very thoughtful this year ;) and gave me Super Sluice (how did he know?)
You'd want to be confident to use Wal's swirling technique as shown in the vid. I guess practice makes perfect.
I've been down there a few times on day trips recently. Each time there have been a few people camping on the gravel bar and on the other side of the road (opposite the old campground). I didn't see the signs but not sure if I just missed them, or somebody pulled them down.
Not saying it's...
You could easily spend the day there with a pan looking for spots before lugging a highbanker. Too hot for me at the moment but good excuse for swim down there.
Hi Todd
Not sure about detecting spots, but Oallen Ford is a good place for kids and a highbanker. There's gold everywhere so he kids won't be disappointed - trick is finding spots with more gold than others. 2wd access to the gravel bar below the bridge. Head to Neriga via Tarago and you can't...
