Hi Lancebarker Not sure if you're from Vic or Canberra, but MetalMart at Fyshwick (Canberra) has a scrap metal facility out the back and usually have the vertical catwalk mesh cheap. I still haven't been able to locate the sloped mesh as yet. DirtyBob

Amazing how aggressive you can be with a Super Sluice. I have other Garrett pans I really like, but Santa was very thoughtful this year ;) and gave me Super Sluice (how did he know?) You'd want to be confident to use Wal's swirling technique as shown in the vid. I guess practice makes perfect.

You could easily spend the day there with a pan looking for spots before lugging a highbanker. Too hot for me at the moment but good excuse for swim down there.

Hi mdv Used the mesh because I ran out of angle (and time). Mesh was leftover from a chicken coop project. Seemed surprisingly strong but in combination with light grade cable tray didn't work so well. Will put angle, tray support and a new heavy duty cable tray on before the next outing...
