    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

Correct. No longer available. I believe they ran the last of the stock out, end of 2019. Really disappointing, it cut out a great cheaper option to the 5000. There seem to be a couple of "new" ones, that are now being sold at premium prices on Ebay. Not that I would trust them to be genuine.

Nugget Finder Evo Coils for GPX 5000

That's a couple of people for the 12*8 now, I thought the 12 round was a shoe in but now I'm thinking again. I find too much thinking tends to get expensive. Sounds like 17*13 is well liked also. Thanks for you help everyone.

Nugget Finder Evo Coils for GPX 5000

Thanks Davent, do you think the 12" round Evo. and keeping the Commander 15*12 would be a good plan? Sooo many options, someone's selling a 17*13 on here now. I can always add a larger coil later down the track if I need it.

Nugget Finder Evo Coils for GPX 5000

Hey guys, I've been considering purchasing a new GPX 5000 soon and want to start with 2 NF coils, (hoping to do a deal with swapping out the new original coils). I would love some opinions on which size NF Evo coils would work well together to cover most situations. By the reports and posts...

ANY OLD MAPS OF CLONCURRY/MT ISA GHOST TOWNS????

Try a book called "Cloncurry Trails" has maps of old mines, prospecting areas and other local sights. I have an old copy somewhere. You may be able to find a downloadable copy. Also Cloncurry information center has heaps of maps etc. and were very helpful when I was prospecting in the area.

    Rare earths

Just out of interest. Are rare earth metals something that could be bumped into while prospecting? Or a more specialized process? Gave it a quick google but ended up confused.

VEGE PATCH. What's growing in yours?

Those veggies are looking great, I'm keen to get some chilli growing soon. That's if the hoarders have left any seeds by the time I get to the shop.

    Panning vs Detecting

I really like the idea of panning in new areas, all the loose shot tells me how much the area is used by shooters. :playful:
